Send Peden to Sweden

Wes Peden wants to go to a circus school in Sweden. To raise a little money to help get him there, he created the “Send Peden to Sweden” video and is selling it for a modest $5.00 on the internet. You can find the puchase link and an explanation here.

When I first heard about it, I wasn’t sure it was such a great idea. Wes isn’t the first person to try to sell juggling videos online. Anthony Gatto tried it for a short while as well. Dozens of people complained that they never recieved a download link, couldn’t play the video, and many other problems. Mr. Gatto had to spend so much time dealing with these issues, I doubt he came out ahead if you count his time as worth anything.

But so far, I’ve been pleasantly surprised at how well Wes’s video seems to be working out on the technical front. I’ve heard very little complaints. From my own experience, the process was very simple and straight forward. As soon as I completed the pay-pal order, my browser popped up with a dialog to begin the download. A few minutes later I was watching the video!

As for the video itself, it is very similar to Wes’s other videos, except that it is much more polished and better presented. The video resolution is much higher, too. If you liked Wes’s previous videos, you’ll love this one. The emphasis is not on the technical tricks, but there are enough technically amazing tricks included that you’ll find stuff you like in this video even if you don’t care for Wes’s particular style of creativity. And theres no need to worry about 15 minutes of juggling footage feeling repetitive. Wes keeps things different enough to keep you interested the whole way through.

The trailer should give you a pretty good idea of what it’s like before you pay for it:
