I made it perhaps 40 to 60% through IJ – I thought that was a pretty good takeaway from it. Its hard to deny the author was talented – I don’t know how its possible to make something so boring and yet horrifying on a subconscious level.
I started to entertain an inception adjacent idea, that if one was able to truly render mental illness to pages you might be able to contract it just by reading it.
It was almost hard to believe it was the same person when I heard his keynote speech, I couldn’t believe he was able to be brief and have a clear point.
