To me this just seems like hand waving to excuse the fact that there is no real difference between lock down states and non-lock down. You will note that there is no real data, only anecdotes. And you will note that southern Californian is one of the hardest hit places in the nation right now and they are as isolated from the “bad people” as you can get short of being on an Island due to deserts and mountains. But articles like this should show you where things are going politically speaking. Pandemic restrictions follow state lines. The spreading virus doesn’t.
