The Wall Street Journal had an interesting article on how pure thought can change the physical structure of the brain. Apparently, just sitting around and thinking about things can change the shape of your brain. How cool is that?
In one sense this should be no surprise. We already know that doing things like learning how Click Here to continue reading.

Poem of the Week (1/21/07 to 1/27/07)
We thought that this poem went well with this week’s essay. Plus, we like Andrew’s poetry and so we are always looking for a chance to give him some publicity..
Rant of the Week (1/21/07 to 1/27/07)
Somebody has to wage war against the little problems in this life. Otherwise they shall multiply without ceasing. In this rant, Dr. Bob does his best to rally the crowds against such evils as the traffic situation in supermarkets and fun sized candy bars.
Essay of the Week (1/21/07 to 1/27/07)
It is no good knowing your history if you are willfully blind to the lessons that it gives. Victor Davis Hanson has a Ph.D. in the Classics from Stanford University, so he knows his history. But as “Spengler” demonstrates in this week’s “essay of the week” that does not stop Hanson from being willfully blind to the lessons that history offers.
“Spengler” published this essay a year ago, but it still stands as a valid rebuke to those who believe that we can cure the world’s ills by spreading democracy.
Inhuman Bounce Juggling
Alan Sulc is by far the most technically advance bounce juggler that I have ever seen. No one can force-bounce eight and nine balls as long as he does in performance even in practise sessions!
Prada and Fashion Phobia
The Wall Street Journal, ran an artical entitled Prada vs. Prada: Overcoming Fashion Phobia. I found it interesting. Why use a Rock when you can use a Nuke?
There is a fair amount in the news about the Chinese knocking a satellite out of orbit. I have to say that I am surprised that I have not seen any conservative bloggers getting all hysterical about this yet.
Maybe I just read all the wrong blogs, I don’t know.
In truth this ought to be Click Here to continue reading.
Ape Man's guide to the Internet: Marginal Revolution
I know that most people have already heard of the Marginal Revolution. But I figured that if I was going to review all the sites that I keep tabs on for my Apeman’s guide to the Internet page, I might as well start with a site that everyone knows. That way, they can get Click Here to continue reading.
A universal remote that works?
It looks like logitech may have just come out with a universal remote that might be worth buying. Check out this review in the inquirer. It seems to deal nicely with the common flaws of universal remotes, such as unrecognised devices, complex programming procedures, and bulk. Now if only I had the toys to justify Click Here to continue reading.
Barkley Rosser's Irving Fisher imitation.
Barkley Rosser has done me the honor of responding to one my of my comments on Brad Setser’s post on Social security and I am repaying him with a snide blog post. I am a baaaaad man…..
For those who don’t already know, I should point out that Barkley Rosser is a well known economist. Click Here to continue reading.
