Parkour and Freerunning

I came across some really cool videos on Parkour and Freerunning. Parkour is basically the skill or sport of clearing objects and moving quickly when chasing or running away. Parkour is basically about various vaulting techniques, landing safetly from very high drops, and landing precisely on very small surfaces. Freerunning is Parkour, except instead of trying to use the most energy efficient techniques, they try to make it look cooler by adding spins and flips, etc.

This is a good video to give you a taste:

And this is a good video to give you an idea of how they practice:

It reminds me a lot of the jumping games we used to play as kids, but taken to extremes.

Bruce Sarafian is back!

Bruce Sarafian is back from his long hiatus. He’s been gone for years, and yet still holds most of the World Records he held when he stopped juggling. Although he hasn’t put up any recent footage yet, he has posted some previously unreleased footage that should give you an idea just how good he is.

Mirror Practical Joke

I found this video of a very elaborate practical joke via Dark Roasted Blend. Identical twins trick numerous passers by into believing they cannot see their reflections. Most of them seem very disturbed by this trick. I only wish it was in english, or had english subtitles so I could hear what they were saying.

The Ariz Brothers

DampRabbit recently posted this amazing video of the Ariz Brothers’ acrobatic act. I don’t know where he gets all this historical footage, but I am grateful he is taking the time and effort to post them online for the rest of us.
The grand finale is just incredible.
