One of things that annoys me about life is the people who claim to sincerely care about Islam and yet turn around and say that they want Islamic moderates to rescue Islam from the fanatics. In my not so humble opinion, people who are looking for moderate Muslims to step up to the plate and Click Here to continue reading.

How I view China?.
A comment that I left on my previous post….
Mr. techy2468
I am glad that I am not the only one who thinks that the US and China are equally to blame.
But I think that you and I fundamentally differ on the nature of what China is doing. You see China as being someone who is Click Here to continue reading.
Why isn,t Brad Setser arguing that the Fed should raise interest rates?
If you follow Brad Setser, you know that he is very concerned about China’s policy of artificially lowering the value of the Yuan so as to subsidize their export sector. He has extensively argued that China’s policy poses grave dangers to the economic health of the US, China, and the world at large. He uses Click Here to continue reading.
Sorry, I am laughing
I should be posting a response to Guy La Roche. But my response is already over a couple of pages long. When I get to that length, I like to sit on it a bit before I post it. I don’t mind making a fool out of myself on a short post. But I hate Click Here to continue reading.
The world is so small these days
One of the things that has surprised me the most about blogging is the disproportionate amount of my readership that comes from foreign countries. The Fall of American Manufacturing as chronicled by Chickenman
There is a blog here in the Ethereal Land called Chickenman that I have not advertised much because I wanted to see if his blog would last. Now that the blog has something like a track record, I thought that I would give it little more exposure.
I think I can safely say that if you Click Here to continue reading.
Demographics and Productivity
In a post I that I wrote last week I said (speaking of Edward Hugh’s post on a recent article in The Economist called Suddenly, the old world looks younger)…..
But while I agree with most of what Mr. Hugh says, his post fails to relieve me of the need to write my own post. This Click Here to continue reading.
Spanking the Economist
My apologies to Claus Vistesen over at Alpha.Sources. I think I lead him to believe that I was going to write a post focusing on a recent article on demographics in last week’s Economist. And that was what I sat down to write. But when I started writing a long standing grudge against The Economist Click Here to continue reading.
