I have been working too much overtime to keep up with my favorite blogs. But I did manage to catch the post by Tyler Cowen on Bryan Caplan’s summarization of his next book. The post still kept my mind occupied during a long night of plowing snow. Two lines from the post in particular stuck Click Here to continue reading.

Are Fannie and Freddie going to need a bailout?
Felix Salmon is one of those people who do not think that the busting of real estate bubble is going to amount to anything. In this post he rips into a New York Times article that suggests that a crisis looms in the market for mortgages. Most of Felix’s gripe against the New York Time’s Click Here to continue reading.

To a large extent, I think it is natural for people to think “my country, right or wrong.” But the idea that my team is above all encompasses more then just the idea of country. We forgive things in ideological Click Here to continue reading.

Bureaucracy in action….
The M16 has a reputation for being unreliable. So does the M4. The standard army line is that if you properly maintain the M16 and M4 you will not have any problems. In other words, it’s all the soldiers fault.
This is ridicules. It is one thing to expect a solider to maintain his weapon Click Here to continue reading.
