Scott Adams as a pointy haired boss

Apparently, Scott Adams is trying to run a restaurant. By his own admission, he is not really qualified to do this so that makes him a pointy haired boss right?

Naturally, Mr. Adams realizes this and displays a decent amount of self deprecation. But rail thin guys who don’t eat meat obviously do not care that much about food and thus should not run restaurants. Otherwise, they start coming up with whacked ideas like “proper lighting is the most important part of a good restaurant.”

But my main thought while reading this NY Times article was “I wish I could make big money by only working a couple of hours a day.”

Advertising Shops Have a Flame war.

This post and the accompanying comments are funny in a sick sort of way. Apparently, the editor of Wired published a list of all the PR shops that he blocked from sending him e-mail because they were spamming him. One enterprising PR shop decided to use that list to try to poach some clients. This got a nasty reaction from one of the PR shops that are on the bad boy list. A regular old flame war started.

Sample of how nasty it got…

I have instructed every one of my staffers (80) to personally target your clients. I will pay them an entire month’s fee as a bounty for every client they take from you. I am also personally calling CEO of your clients, and forwarding your BS email around the industry.

Great move moron… this is war!

Read the whole thing for some comic relief.

A gripping story of fools

Five fools decided to ride across Angola on glorified dirt bikes. They are a profane bunch and they take a perverse delight in what the Survival Blog calls national geographic type nudity. But they take marvelous pictures and they write well. I found myself on the edge of my seat a number of times while reading this, even though I knew the fools came through all right in the end.

The story is on a forum. To get between the first few sections you have to scroll past short bits of other people’s commentary. But watch for the continued here tag. As soon as you see that (on the third section) you can go from post to post without having to deal with the stupid comments.

SIV's honestly explained.

Knowing my love of a certain type of British humor, The Silverware Thief sent me this link. Then shortly after that, Calculated Risk brought this video to my attention. The coincidence of two different people calling to my attention a similar type of humor one video was to much to be ignored. So I have elected share the Calculated Risk link with you all as it is the most relevant. (Though in a way, the clip on Foopaux is just as relevant).

Mirror Practical Joke

I found this video of a very elaborate practical joke via Dark Roasted Blend. Identical twins trick numerous passers by into believing they cannot see their reflections. Most of them seem very disturbed by this trick. I only wish it was in english, or had english subtitles so I could hear what they were saying.
