In this post, Jane Galt bemoans the fact that people in abortion debate are imputing motives to their opponents. In response, Ape man bemoans the fact that even if they perfectly understood their opponents it would not make any difference.
I don’t have the langue skills to check up on this, but this post claims that Belgium is going to ban the wearing of the numbers 18 and 88.
I can’t imagine how anyone with enough brains to keep their heart beating dares to purpose such a thing with a straight face.

It is no good knowing your history if you are willfully blind to the lessons that it gives. Victor Davis Hanson has a Ph.D. in the Classics from Stanford University, so he knows his history. But as “Spengler” demonstrates in this week’s “essay of the week” that does not stop Hanson from being willfully blind to the lessons that history offers.
“Spengler” published this essay a year ago, but it still stands as a valid rebuke to those who believe that we can cure the world’s ills by spreading democracy.
There is a fair amount in the news about the Chinese knocking a satellite out of orbit. I have to say that I am surprised that I have not seen any conservative bloggers getting all hysterical about this yet.
Maybe I just read all the wrong blogs, I don’t know.
